Bump Outs Installed at Western Hills HS

Jul 16, 2019

CINCINNATI – The City of Cincinnati recently began construction of four bump outs on Ferguson Road in front of Western Hills University High School.

The bump outs are being installed at each end of the circle drive in front of the school. Bump outs reduce the distance that pedestrians need to travel in order to cross the street, and make it easier for motorists and pedestrians to see each other. Two pedestrian-triggered flashing lights will also be installed at the crosswalks later this summer.

Construction is expected to be complete prior to the start of school on August 19, 2019.
