Director of DEI Takes His Mission to the Classroom

CINCINNATI -- The Director of Department of Economic Inclusion (DEI) has a distinguished career as a lawyer, mediator and arbiter with extensive experience leading minority business contracting programs.

Now Thomas Corey can add to his list instructor.

Last night Mr. Corey taught a class on certification; going through what’s needed and what’s asked for when filling out an SBE application. The information discussed included required documents for all applicants, additional paperwork needed depending on whether your business was a corporation, partnership or LLC, and where to go online to fill out the application.

The certification class is just one in a series of classes being offered by DEI to help small, minority and women-owned businesses build their capacity, and become more marketable so they can compete for contracts with the City of Cincinnati as well as other companies.
