Business Relief Programs

Lt. Governor John Husted reminds residents of Ohio about the business relief programs being put in place to help during this time. Below are some links to the key programs he was referencing.

  • The RESTART Task Force launched a website to help businesses as they responsibly return to work and to commerce. The site features a dynamic and developing list of local companies that are selling key PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to businesses. It also includes a growing database of plans that companies and organizations are sharing publicly to help other businesses craft Responsible Return Plans. The site can be found at www.restartcincinnati.com.

  • The City of Cincinnati has launched a a pilot expedited permit process that enables many restaurants and bars to temporarily expand their outdoor dining and service areas onto the public right-of-way (public sidewalk or street) or into privately owned parking facilities in order to comply with COVID-19 prevention best practices during the public health emergency.
  • The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber has established a Resources page for local businesses as they endure the COVID-19 public health crisis.
  • Responsible RestartOhio is about protecting the health of employees, customers, and their families; supporting community efforts to control the spread of the virus; and, leading in responsibly getting Ohio back to work.
  • The Ohio Development Services Agency (DSA) asks all Ohio businesses to complete this Economic Damage Assessment Survey, designed to help determine economic impacts caused by the coronavirus outbreak. Your responses will help Ohio’s state government leaders as they develop response plans.
  • Thanks to a concerted effort by the state of Ohio and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Ohio small businesses are now eligible for a variety of resources including specialty loans (details below). Visit SBA.gov/coronavirus for more information.

  • The Department of Job and Family Services also has a page dedicated to the new unemployment compensation benefits available under the Governor’s recent order.
