Chamber-Led Task Force Provides Free PPE To Local Businesses
May 19, 2020
CINCINNATI — May 19, 2020 – The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber is partnering with P&G, CVG and Brain Brew Custom Bourbon, to supply free RESTART Kits to businesses across the Cincinnati region. The RESTART Kits are helping companies re-establish operations with a healthy return at a time when resources are limited and money is scarce.
Kristen Bailey, Owner of Sweets & Meats BBQ, is one recipient of the free starter kit, which contains the following from P&G: Safeguard® Hand Sanitizer, Spic-and-Span® Disinfectant, and non-surgical face masks from P&G’s current supply. “The RESTART kits have been vital in helping us re-open our doors. It is helping us to put the focus back on serving more of our customers safely,” says Bailey.
The sanitizer is being bottled, and the kits assembled and distributed at Brain Brew’s facility in Newtown. Each RESTART kit is designed to accommodate up to 25 employees for two weeks.
Bailey, like many other restaurant owners, are facing unprecedented demands to keep their businesses safely operating – from worrying about global food supply chain disruptions for ingredients like meat, to implementing new safety protocols. “We’re so grateful to have the Cincinnati Chamber advocating for us and connecting us to resources to help us thrive through this challenging season,” says Bailey.
Business leaders can learn more information about this program and reserve RESTART Kits at CincinnatiChamber.com/RestartKit.
In addition to the RESTART Kits, the Cincinnati Regional Chamber introduced RESTART Playbooks by industry and the Principles of a Responsible Return to prepare local business for the reinstatement of commerce. The Chamber also produces Daily Update emails featuring relevant information from local, state, and federal governments, and manages a repository of resources on the Business Center and Business Briefing archives. The Restart Cincinnati website features a crowd-sourced clearinghouse of Responsible Return plans and PPE suppliers.
The RESTART Task Force was created in March 2020 to coordinate and provide leadership to the Cincinnati region as it recovers and regains momentum post COVID-19. The Task Force is focused on areas of economic development, arts/culture/sports, commerce, public and social health, education, and government. RESTART is a project of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the Cincinnati Business Committee, and the Cincinnati Regional Business Committee.
