Recycling
The City of Cincinnati's Recycling Program is managed by the Office of Environment & Sustainability (OES), an agency within the City Manager's Office. A few things to know:
- All single-family households and multi-unit complexes with 4 units or less that currently receive curbside garbage collection are eligible for curbside recycling, at no additional cost.
- OES contracts with Rumpke for curbside collection. Recycling is not picked up by the City of Cincinnati's garbage trucks, which are operated by the Department of Public Services.
- You can learn what you can and can't recycle on the Recycling Program's website.
Through 311, you can:
- Request a new or additional recycling cart
- Request repair of your recycling cart
- Request to swap sizes or remove your recycling cart
- Report a missed recycling collection
Process:
- Recycling-related 311 requests are routed to OES (and, if applicable, Rumpke).
- Check your text messages and email for process-related information and status updates.
