Streetcar Project Status: Mid-June 2013

Streetcar Project Status: Mid-June 2013

Work continues in Over-the-Rhine on utility relocation for the Cincinnati streetcar.

Recent Activity

  • Greater Cincinnati Water Works has been finishing street restoration at 12th and Race streets. Workers are repairing sidewalks, restoring striping and installing curb ramps. Restoration work should be finished this week.
  • Cincinnati Bell is rebuilding manholes on 12th and Race and at Findlay and Race streets.
  • Duke has done excavation work on Main Street. Workers dug down to the existing gas main on Main Street to find out exactly where it is (and how deep). Then they can determine if it will be in the way of the proposed streetcar base.

What's Next

A Duke underground electric contractor should be starting work next week on Walnut Street in the Central Business District.

Pardon Our Dust

Thank you for your patience during construction for the Cincinnati Streetcar. We’re doing our best to minimize impacts to residents, businesses and workers, but we understand this work can be an inconvenience from time to time. Once complete, the streetcar will help bring more jobs, more development, and more people to the city of Cincinnati!

As a reminder, please help keep workers safe: Use caution and drive safely through work areas.
