Streetcar Progress Update: July 13, 2015
No Streetcar Construction Work During All-Star Game, Work to Resume July 16
Streetcar construction crews have been working feverishly to help prepare downtown Cincinnati for this week’s MLB All-Star Game festivities. Fans visiting downtown this week can expect to see a freshly re-paved Walnut Street, new station stops and shelters at Stop 17 (5th and Walnut) and Stop 5A (12th and Main) as well as new poles, signage, and traffic signals.
Construction work will resume on Thursday, July 16 as crews prepare for trackwork on Main Street between 5th and 6th.
Main Street to Close between 5th and 6th Street Starting Sunday July 19 through Friday July 24
Trackwork will resume after the All-Star Game with the closure of Main Street between 5th and 6th Streets on Sunday July 19. The block will remain closed throughout the week, reopening Friday evening, July 24.

The Streetcar Construction Stakeholders meeting is a monthly update that is open to the public at which the project team provides a snapshot of construction progress as well as a look ahead to upcoming construction activities.
Block by Block Construction –July 13-19, 2015
MAIN STREET:
- 5th to 6th: excavation & preparation for track installation, rail delivery (1 week remaining)
WALNUT STREET:
- 4th to 5th: fire hydrant modifications (1 week remaining)
- 9th to Central Parkway: masonry work at TPSS #2 (3 weeks remaining)
RACE STREET:
- At Henry: rail grouting and filler installation (1 week remaining)
PROGRESS LAST WEEK:
Crews install the shelter at Stop #17 (5th & Walnut) in preparation for the All-Star Game.
Crews also installed the shelter at Stop #5A (12th & Main)
Meanwhile, at the CAF plant in Elmira, NY, testing continues on the Cincinnati Streetcar vehicles.
