Oakley Recreation Center
The Oakley Recreation Center is the next center to be renovated on the CRC’s six-year plan. Preliminary estimates project a $5.6 million dollar project budget (subject to Council appropriation). CRC has developed various options as a starting point to gain community feedback on what you want the Oakley site to be.
Option One shows various improvements that are estimated to cost $5.6 million, or the projected budget amount. The other four options are designed based on preliminary feedback from staff, citizens and from information contained in the CRC Master Plan. These options’ budgets are greater than the projected budget and alternative funds will need to be identified.
CRC and the Cincinnati Recreation Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, are working with the Oakley Community Council to develop a funding strategy for different options so the site can be maximized for its use for the Oakley community as well as the surrounding communities of Hyde Park, East Hyde Park and Mt. Lookout.
Oakley Recreation Center construction is scheduled for 2015. Although we are two years away from the project, we want your feedback NOW.
It is the goal of the Cincinnati Recreation Commission to design facilities that meet the needs of the community. Please be a part of it by sharing your suggestions.
We want you to provide comments about the Oakley Recreation Center project. So far, we have five design options for you to provide feedback on. Here’s what we want to know: (please reference the design option you are referring to)
- What comments or concerns do you have about the design process or construction of the Oakley Recreation Center and the surrounding complex?
- What are your expectations for the Oakley Recreation Center and the surrounding complex? What is your vision for the space?
Tell us your comments and suggestions by filling out our survey, (click on the link above) or sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your thoughts. If you send an email, be sure to include answers to the above questions.
Thanks for your feedback. Check back for information about other CRC improvement projects.
