To allow us to calculate your final bill through the last day you own a property, please request a final reading. When you make your request, include the following:

1. The account number and the property address.
2. The name and mailing address of the person receiving the final bill.
3. The name and mailing address of the new owner. Water service will be turned off at the time of the final reading without this information.
4. The date you want the final reading.
5. Arrangements for the meter to be read. Even if you have a remote reading device on the outside, we must get to the inside meter for a final reading. If the Meter Reader cannot get the reading, the water service will be turned off.
6. If you have provided a key for access, include instructions for us to either return or destroy the key after the final reading.
7. Any safety concerns, such as an unrestrained animal, loose steps, etc.
8. The telephone number where you can be reached during the day.
9. New owners should provide instructions for how our Meter Reader can get to the water meter for regularly scheduled readings.

Note: Please specify if the property sale/purchase involves a land contract.
