If the rubber tank ball that lifts when you flush (i) is not seating properly, water is running continuously into the bowl and down the sewer. This problem can be corrected, depending on the cause, by:

1. Tightening a loose handle (d),
2. Straightening the control arm (e) if it is rubbing,
3. Replacing a sticking rod guide (f) or ball rod (g),
4. Cleaning a corroded valve seat (h), or
5. Replacing a faulty tank ball (i).
