Structures & Geotechnical Services

Principal Engineer, 352-3428

The primary mission of the Structures Section is to maintain the integrity of the critical structural elements of the transportation infrastructure, the bridges and retaining walls. The structural engineers and design technicians in the bridges work group provide a wide range of services, including evaluation, analysis, and structural design of many infrastructure elements including traffic poles, building structures, and decorative enhancements.

The geotechnical engineering work group possesses the specialized education, training, and experience to evaluate hillside stability, monitor hillside movements, and design landslide corrections and retaining walls. Although landslide stabilization is a costly process, we produce cost-effective solutions by blending our in-house expertise in geology, geotechnical and structural engineering. We also provide consultation and engineering design services for retaining walls and foundations of all types.
