City of Cincinnati - Preliminary Six Year Plan For Street Improvements

New roadway connecting Kennedy/Duck Creek intersection to the Madison/Camberwell intersection with new roads to I-71 South and Norwood Lateral. Final design is underway. Construction to begin Spring 2012.

An evaluation of alternatives was conducted to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians on Montana Ave. Montana Ave. will be reconfigured as a three lane section prohibiting on-street parking. Minor widening will be necessary at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Westwood Northern Boulevard to incorporate left turn lanes. There will be slight curb movement at the intersection of Montana Avenue and Harrison Avenue to line up the through lanes. Streetscape work will be performed from Epworth Avenue to Hazelwood Avenue. Signal upgrades will take place at the intersections of Montana Avenue with Boudinot Avenue, Epworth Avenue, Harrison Avenue, Wunder Avenue, Westwood Northern Boulevard and Anaconda Avenue.

Construction will begin in May 2011.

Northside Arterial Project

This project involves roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian improvements along Colerain Avenue (US 27) from I-74 exit ramp to Blue Rock Street; and along Blue Rock Street from Colerain Avenue to Spring Grove Avenue. The project includes intersection improvements to Blue Rock Street and Colerain Avenue, Blue Rock Street and Hamilton Avenue, and Blue Rock Street and Spring Grove Avenue. The project also includes intersection improvements to the Colerain Avenue-Spring Grove Avenue-Elmore Street triangular network.

Red Bank Expressway: U.S. 52 to I-71

U.S. 52 to I-71 - Major study in conjunction with Eastern Corridor Major Investment Study. Planning in partnership with Hamilton County Transportation District, Ohio Department of Transportation.

Improve the horizontal geometry and widen to standard lane widths. This project is the last piece of the improvements to Colerain Avenue (US 27) north of I-74.

Harrison Ave: Queen City Ave. to Corp Line

This project extends from the Western Corporation limit, Higee Street, to Queen City Avenue. The majority of the project consists of street resurfacing and curb repair with the remainder including spot improvements at various safety problem locations. Construction to begin in 2012. Dana Avenue - Victory Parkway to I-71

This project will improve pedestrian access and roadway safety. It will include a sidepath from Victory Parkway to Montgomery road along with a widening to allow left turn lanes. It will also include new sidewalk, curb, trees, medians and a new water main.

This project is currently under construction.

West Martin Luther King Drive Access Improvement Project: Clifton Ave. to McMicken Ave.

Madison Road Improvement Project: Alston St. to Ridge Road

Improvement project will improve capacity of the Madison/Ridge intersection and improve maneuverability for bus and pedestrian traffic along Madison from Oakley Square to Ridge Road. This project includes a GCWW water main upgrade. This project is currently under construction.

North Bend Road: Betts Ave. to Hamilton Ave.

This project is an improvement to widen North Bend to meet standard lane widths and provide full pavement replacement to improve driving conditions. The project will remain within the existing right of way. It will include new curb, sidewalk, and trees and a signal upgrade at Savannah.

Construction is expected to start April 2012.

Winton Road Rehabilitation - Gray Road to Harbury Drive

This project will include street resurfacing, curb repair and full depth repair where necessary on Winton Road to improve driving conditions. To improve pedestrian and bicycle safety, a sidewalk will be installed on both the west and east sides of Winton Road from Gray to North Bend Road.
This project will begin construction in the Spring of 2013.
