Lane Restrictions: Main & 6th

Lane Restrictions For Underground Utility Work At Main & Sixth Streets Intersection Area

Sixth Street, between Sycamore and Walnut streets, will be reduced to two lanes for the next 10 weeks, starting Monday, July 28, 2014, for underground electric work associated with the Cincinnati Streetcar and infrastructure improvements.

The two lanes open will be the southern lanes of Sixth Street, between Leslie Alley and the mid-block traffic signal between Main and Walnut.

Right turns from Sixth to Main, and left turns from Main to Sixth, will be maintained.

In addition, for the next 10 weeks, Main Street will be reduced to two lanes, between Gano and Seventh streets, to allow for the complete reconstruction of an electrical vault on the west side of Main.

The two lanes open will be the eastern lanes of Main.

City of Cincinnati and Duke construction management personnel will be working with affected residents and business to minimize their disruption.

Sidewalks and crosswalks (except the east crosswalk at the Sixth and Main intersection) will remain open.

Motorists should allow extra time when traveling in this area or consider alternative routes to their intended destination. Bus riders should visit for updated route information.
