Streetcar Progress Update: February 28, 2014

Streetcar Progress Update - Week Ending Feb. 28, 2014

Lots of progress this week, as construction started on our first station stop, plus more trackwork on Race Street, and the foundation work at the MOF site.

Track work continues down Race Street. Pedestrian bridges have been built to allow pedestrians to safely cross over tracks during construction. These bridges are portable and will be moved along with the track construction.

Streetcar station stop construction has started this week at the corner of Liberty and Elm Street. Crews began excavating and installing a trench drain for proper drainage at the stop.

Foundation work continues at the Maintenance and Operations Building. Steel reinforcing cages are installed and the building will soon be ready for the concrete floor to be poured.
