City Council Member P.G. Sittenfeld
P.G. Sittenfeld is serving in his second term as a member of Cincinnati City Council, after finishing first in the 2013 City Council Election. P.G. is the Chair of the Education and Entrepreneurship Committee, and also serves on the Budget and Finance Committee.
P.G. is focused on making Cincinnati economically competitive, seeing that citizens receive high-quality basic services, and ensuring that our local government lives within its means.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, after graduating from Seven Hills School, P.G. attended Princeton University, and earned a Marshall Scholarship for graduate school at Oxford University.
Following work experiences at Google and Time Magazine, P.G. returned to his hometown to become the Assistant Director of the Community Learning Center Institute. All across Cincinnati, P.G. works to help turn schools -- otherwise unused in the afternoons and evenings -- into hubs of neighborhood activity offering health, educational, cultural and recreational opportunities for students, families and the surrounding community.
P.G. believes that strong schools build strong communities.
P.G. is a committed community volunteer, including serving as a past division co-chair for the United Way annual campaign; a current board member for the Freestore Foodbank; a mentor through the Adopt-A-Class program; a Citizens-On-Patrol volunteer; and an announcer for events on Fountain Square.
