- CRC’s Grant Park Playground in OTR to Receive a Makeover
CRC’s Grant Park Playground in Over the Rhine will receive some TLC from the City of Cincinnati as part of the North East Quadrant OTR Neighborhood Enhancement Program. This City/community partnership will concentrate efforts to remove blight, lower crime and improve the neighborhood, with a special focus on Grant Park.

- Westwood Moves! : FUN Run Benefits CRC’s Westwood Town Hall
Calling all runners! A 5K (3.1 miles) FUN Run/ Walk & Indoor Group Cycling benefiting the Westwood Town Hall Recreation Center will take place Saturday, April 18, 2015.

- Cincinnati Arts Ambassador Fellow Premiers Artwork
In 2014, Cincinnati artist Susan Byrnes received one of five fellowships granted by the City’s Cincinnati Arts Ambassador Fellowship Program to fund the creation of artwork for an exhibition project titled DISCOVER. The completed project will be premiered on Friday, March 6 in Gallery One One at Brazee St. Studios in Oakley. The work will remain on exhibit through April 3. The opening will include a talk by the artist. The opening reception, talk and exhibition are free and open to the public.

CRC’s Mt. Auburn Indoor Pool is temporarily closed for maintenance and repairs until Friday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m.

- Softball Anyone?
Registration is open for adult spring softball leagues. League play begins Monday, April 6, 2015 at Schmidt and Sunday, April 29 at all other locations.

- CRC Receives Three State Awards
The Cincinnati Recreation Commission received three awards of excellence from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association (OPRA) during their February conference in Sandusky, OH. The awards, received in 2015, were awarded to CRC in 2014.

- Congratulations Clifton Recreation Center
The Clifton neighborhood has received quite a gem! The grand re-opening of the newly renovated Clifton Recreation Center was held earlier this week. Neighborhood residents joined Vice Mayor David Mann, City Manager Harry Black and other city dignitaries to officially open the facility.

- Play Pickleball with CRC
Pickleball is a sport for all ages – youth, teen, adults and seniors. It is a quick, fast-paced game played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. Pickleball is played indoors in a gym or outdoors on a modified/smaller tennis court (44’ x 20’).

- CRC’s Miracle League Players at RedsFest
Miracle League baseball players made dreams come true on Saturday, December 6 at RedsFest – a Cincinnati Reds two-day fan fest at the Duke Energy Convention Center, downtown Cincinnati. Miracle League players played an adapted game of baseball on the indoor Gorilla Glue Field of Dreams. Players and their families enjoyed three innings in which everyone had a chance to hit balls pitched from professional Reds player Jay Bruce.
