Congratulations, Seniors!

Cincinnati Recreation Commission hosted its annual Senior Citizen Hall of Fame to recognize the achievements of outstanding seniors on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Cincinnati. Twenty seniors were inducted from throughout the city.

CRC’s Therapeutic Recreation Division (TR) is ready with its fall and winter programming.  As advocates for individuals with disabilities, TR provides inclusive recreation program choices and promotes accessibility at all CRC facilities.

Teens are invited to give their perspectives at CRC’s Price Hill Recreation Center on Friday, August 14; 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Conversations about Internet conduct, healthcare, conflict resolution and dealing with trauma will let the dialogue flow!

CRC celebrates Senior Citizens

Do you know a senior citizen who has worked tirelessly for his/her organization? The  48th Annual Senior Citizen Hall of Fame will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. Nominations are being accepted until 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 19. Reservation deadline for tickets is Friday, August 28.

Hirsch Center Fitness Room Rededication

Join us Friday, August 7; 2-5:00 p.m. for the rededication of the Hirsch Recreation Center Fitness Room. Avondale dignitaries will be present and there will be a ribbon cutting and light refreshments. You can take a chance on the raffle for two annual Hirsch Center Fitness Memberships (normally $10/quarter or $35 annually).

Congratulations to CRC’s New Youth Commissioner!

Cincinnati Recreation Commission welcomes Ihsan A. Walker as the new Youth Commissioner. Mr. Walker, an upcoming senior at St. Xavier High School, applied for the volunteer position and was approved by the CRC Board of Commissioners at their July meeting.
