CFS is the Financial Management System for City accounting functions. CFS provides accounting support in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, budget, cost accounting, general ledger, and procurement. RCC/CFS Support staff provide the following services: end of year close out; beginning of year start up including budget loads and beginning balances; department reorganizations mandated and approved by Council. miscellaneous 1099 generation; help desk services for CFS users; system upgrades and enhancements; process and report certification; security establishment and monitoring; interfaces to/from departmental systems (e.g. CHRIS, Fleet Services, GCWW Stores/Team, Public Services, and Recreation).
CARS (Cincinnati Agency Reporting System) is the reporting companion to CFS. CARS consists of daily, monthly and annual reports specifically designed by and for CFS users. CINSY CARS staff provide the following services: design and development of user defined reports; maintenance of CFS databases; maintenance of menu access; system upgrades and enhancements; report and process certification; security establishment and monitoring.
EIS (Executive Information System) is the data warehouse for both CFS and non-CFS historic data. EIS uses the FOCUS and Web FOCUS report generating products for ad hoc reporting for CFS, pre-CHRIS Retirement, Payroll, and Personnel. CINSY EIS staff provide the following services: end of year close out; system upgrades and enhancements; software and process certification; security establishment and monitoring.
