The City of Cincinnati will honor 2012 holidays on the dates shown below. When your regular trash collection day falls on the date shown, your garbage will be collected the following day. Collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day. Please note exceptions as indicated.
- Christmas: December 25, 2011 - Since Christmas day falls on Sunday this year, the City observes the Holiday on the Following Monday and garbage collection will be delayed by one day the following week.
- New Year's Day: January 1, 2012 - Since New Years day falls on Sunday this year, the City observes the Holiday on the Following Monday and garbage collection will be delayed by one day the following week.
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, January 16, 2012
- Presidents' Day: Monday, February 20, 2012
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 28, 2012
- Independence Day: Wednesday, July 4, 2012 (Garbage collection for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be delayed by one day.)
- Labor Day: Monday, September 3, 2012
- Columbus Day: Monday, October 8, 2012 - Service will not be altered. Monday collection will occur on Columbus Day.
- Veterans' Day: (Observed) Monday, November 12, 2012
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 22, 2012

Reminder: Place trash at your curb by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day and no earlier than 5:00 p.m. the preceding day. Waste containers must be removed before the end of the day on which the waste was collected.
