About Public Services

As the Department of Public Services, we pride ourselves on the effective, efficient delivery of quality solid waste collection, snow removal, highway maintenance, fleet services, and architectural maintenance services. We provide many services that have a direct impact on City residents, on visitors to our fine City, and on those who have chosen to conduct business in our City.

Our goal is to provide you with a clean and safe environment in which to live, work and play!

Our focus on enhancing the quality of life of our residents and preserving the environment fuels our efforts to adopt efficient, earth-friendly strategies for providing our services. In recent years, significant enhancements have been made to the way we provide snow and ice control. We have also taken strides to make City facilities and vehicles more efficient. Today, we continue to evaluate methods to improve efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

As the seasons change, our operations may change and we may be providing a different set of services to meet your needs, but we remain focused on making your City the clean safe backdrop for all you have planned.

DEPARTMENT’S MISSION

To partner with the citizens of Cincinnati to provide a clean and safe City through efficient solid waste collection, neighborhood maintenance programs, effective street and traffic maintenance systems, a responsive customer service communication system, litter reduction programs, and management of the City’s facility assets.
