The City consists of 52 separate neighborhoods and covers about 78 square miles, 2,835 lane miles and 3,945 city streets.  The Cincinnati Business District (CBD) and Neighborhood Business District (NBD) areas are swept by Contract Sweepers at an annual rate of 14,297 miles and 7,500 miles respectively.  The Department is responsible for the remainder of the city.  The CBD and Over-the-Rhine (OTR) areas are swept nightly.  The City uses five Elgin Pelican and one Elgin Whirlwind MV sweeper to provide service.  If you would like to view the City's 2007 Street Sweeping Schedule, please click here.
