Winter Operations Update: Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 (Morning)

Crews pretreated many primary and residential streets yesterday evening. Once snowfall began around midnight, crews started focusing their efforts on primary streets.

Primary streets will remain the focus through the morning commute. Accumulating snow will likely have an impact on the morning commute. Drivers are going to want to leave early and take is slow.

Rest Of Tonight: Snow. Snow accumulation 1 to 2 inches. Lows 15 to 20. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 100 percent.

Tuesday: Snow in the morning...then a chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Areas of blowing snow. Total snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. Highs around 20. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 100 percent. Wind chill as low as 5 below.
