The Chief also implements policy and makes necessary personnel and procedural changes to ensure the effective operation of the Department. Cincinnati Police Department Receives Traffic Safety Grants

Traffic Unit Commander Lieutenant Bruce Hoffbauer today announced that the Ohio Department of Public Safety¿s Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) has awarded $49,000 in federal traffic safety funding to the Cincinnati Police Department for construction zone enforcement on Interstate Route 75 at Mitchell Avenue.   Read More

Money Laundering Suspects Indicted

After a long term investigation conducted by the Major Offenders Unit, six members of a fraud ring were indicted for money laundering and numerous other charges.  The investigation began in November 2011, and ended with a Grand Jury indictment in April, 2012.  The suspects have 68 charges against them, including money laundering, theft, telecommunication fraud, identity fraud and receiving stolen property.  The victims were all local commercial retail stores.   Read More
