Lieutenant Adam Hennie is a graduate of Mentor High School in Mentor, Ohio.  He served nine years in the United States Navy.  During his four years of active duty, Lieutenant Hennie served aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Enterprise, with tours of duty in the Adriatic Sea and in the Persian Gulf.  He served five years in the Reserve with a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion.  In July 1999 he entered the Police Academy’s 88th Recruit Class.  Upon graduation, his first assignment was on patrol in District One, where he later served in the Downtown Services Unit.  Since his promotion to Sergeant in July 2004, he has been a supervisor in District Two, the Vice Section, and District One.  His performance evaluations note that he is an able supervisor with impressive administrative skills who is often sought as a resource to provide assistance and instruction to fellow officers, and that he does an excellent job directing operations.  Lieutenant Hennie and his wife live in Colerain Township with their three children.

Sergeant Elena Moton is a graduate of Princeton High School.  She served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa for two of those years.  In July 1997 she entered the Police Academy’s 84th Recruit Class.  Her first assignment upon graduation was on patrol in District Five.  Since 2000 Sergeant Moton has served in the Mounted Patrol Squad.  She and her equine partner Joseph are a familiar site to downtown workers and to those who attend the many special events held in our city.  She assists with training for new officers and horses in the Mounted Squad.  Her father, the late Roy L. Moton, was a sergeant with the San Diego Police Department.  Off duty, Sergeant Moton volunteers with the Muddy Water Wranglers, an organization that works with at-risk youth to teach responsibility, social skills and respect through horsemanship.  Sergeant Moton is the mother of two sons, and she makes her home in Finneytown.

Sergeant Torry King is a graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria, Illinois.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in justice administration at Southern Illinois University.  Before moving to Cincinnati, he served for seven years with Northwestern University’s Police Department.  In August 2002 he entered the 93rd Recruit Class at the Cincinnati Police Academy.  Upon graduation, he was assigned to patrol in District Four.  Since 2006 he has served in District Three, first on patrol and most recently as a Neighborhood Liaison Officer.  His supervisors have observed that he strives for perfection and performs with consistent accuracy.  The many letters of thanks he has received from citizens attest to his effective work with the community.  His uncle, Sergeant Willie King, serves with the Peoria Police Department.  Sergeant King and his wife live in Anderson Township with their four children
