On November 24 at 4:33 p.m., Sergeant Bryce Bezdek, Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit Supervisor, was critically injured on southbound I-75 near the Western Hills Viaduct. 

Sergeant Bezdek was transferred from University Hospital to the Drake Center on December 7 to begin intensive rehabilitation from his injuries.

The Bezdek family thanks the community for the tremendous outpouring of support and asks for continued prayers during his rehabilitation. 

Any changes to Sergeant Bezdek’s medical condition will be released through the Police Chief’s Office. The Bezdek family requests that members of the media respect their wishes for privacy during this most difficult time.
