On November 24, 2007, at 4:33 p.m., Sergeant Bryce Bezdek, Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit Supervisor, was critically injured on southbound I-75 near the Western Hills Viaduct.  Sergeant Bezdek remains in critical condition.

The Bezdek family thanks the community for the tremendous outpouring of support and asks for continued prayers for his recovery.  For those wishing to help defray family expenses, The Sergeant Bryce Bezdek Support Fund has been created.  Donations will be accepted at any Fifth/Third Bank beginning Wednesday November 28, 2007.  

Any changes to Sergeant Bezdek’s medical condition will be released through the Police Chief’s Office.  The Bezdek family requests that members of the media respect their wishes for privacy during this most difficult time.
