- LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS
Ohio’s 2014 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics begins at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday June 25 at the Police Memorial, 311 Ezzard Charles Drive. Participants and supporters will hold a brief ceremony before the runners set out to carry the torch on the first part of the run, 16 miles to the Springdale Police Department, 12105 Lawnview Avenue.

- CONSTRUCTION ZONE SAFETY GRANTS
Lieutenant Bruce Hoffbauer, Traffic Unit Commander for the Cincinnati Police Department, today announced that the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s (ODPS) Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO) awarded $49,900 in federal traffic safety funding to the Cincinnati Police Department for construction zone enforcement during federal fiscal year 2014.

Traffic along several streets will be limited between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sunday May 18, as an oversized load travels from Enerfab Inc. at 4955 Spring Grove Avenue to its destination at 3291 Southside Avenue.
