Amnesty On Fines, Fees Extended
Amnesty Program For Parking Fines, Fees Extended
Extension Provides Public Extra Time To Pay Outstanding Fines
With the successful conclusion of the Second Chance Amnesty Program, the City of Cincinnati announced today that Phase II (delinquent parking tickets) and Phase III (ambulance services, false alarm fees, building code violations, and other fees) of the program would be extended until September 30, 2011, giving citizens ample time to pay before stepping up aggressive collection efforts.
More than 4,200 people have taken advantage of the amnesty discounts since the program began February 1, 2010.
"We are glad that so many citizens took care of their outstanding obligations and fines owed to the City," said Finance Director Reginald Zeno. "We are encouraging the public to take advantage of this additional three-month period to avoid any additional fines or late fees."
