ORDINANCE, dated 08/04/2008, submitted by Councilmember Qualls, from Patricia M. King, Interim City Solicitor, AUTHORIZING the transfer and appropriation of the sum of $300,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the Miscellaneous Permanent Improvement Fund 757 to the glencoe Hotel and Condominiums project account no. 980x162x03513, for the purpose of providing predevelopment funding to Dorian Devleopment Ltd, an Ohio limited liability company, for the Glencoe Hotel and Condominiums project in Mt. Auburn; and, DIRECTING the City Manager to enter into a contract enabling the funds to be disbursed to the Developer, for the purposes described herein upon receipt of the proper invoices and supporting documentation by the City.

MOTION, dated 07/30/2008, submitted by Councilmembers Berding, Qualls, Cole, Monzel and Cranley, that City Administration, consistent with the consolidated Budget Policy Motion unanimously agreed to by City Council on June 25, 2008, execute within 30 days an agreement with 3CDC to serve as the City's development manager for the 5th and Race site to maximize all possible development opportunities for the unprecedented site in our Central Business District and to leverage current and possible future investments in neighboring properties; and that no further action be taken by the City Administration until the contract with 3CDC is completed; and that all public notices regarding development of the site be completed by 3CDC in its role as the City's exclusive development manager; and that the Administration report back to the Economic Development Committee at the first meeting in September with an update on this policy directive; and that the City Administration turn over all work to date and any and all draft Request for Qualifications to 3CDC.
