The City of Cincinnati's Streets Policy should support economic and social development and improve the character and identity of neighborhoods by providing more transportation options and creating more user-friendly streets; and promoting transportation solutions that complement the context of the community and better integrate land use and transportation investments. Using funds previously allocated in the 2009-2010 budget passed in December 2008 for the Neighborhood Transportation Strategies and Innovative Transportation Strategies projects, the Department of Transportation and Engineering (DOTE) is now preparing a citywide streets policy.
