Ms. Pride Michaele is the Director of the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Interior Design. Her research focuses on the social and political implications of urban design and the dynamics of neighborhood change. She holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Ms. Pride will complete the term of Ms. McCray which will expire on December 31, 2008.

Mr. Wildeboer, a native of Greater Cincinnati, is the General Manager of Million Air at Lunken Airport.

Mr. Rattenbury will serve as a term set to expire on October 31, 2010.

REAPPOINTMENT, dated 5/7/2008 submitted by Mark Mallory, pursuant to the authority granted by Article V, Section II of the Cincinnati Municipal Code and subject to the consent of Council, I hereby re-appoint Jacqueline R. Edmerson to the Cincinnati Board of Health. Ms. Edmerson is a Counselor at Bethesda Foundation and holds a M.S. in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati. Her term will expire on December 31, 2010.

MOTION, submitted by Mayor Mark Mallory and Vice Mayor Crowley, WE MOVE that the Proposed Climate Protection Action Plan is hereby endorsed and adopted as the Climate Protection Action Plan for the City of Cincinnati. WE FURTHER MOVE that a Climate Protection Steering Committee, composed of leaders representing a wide range of Cincinnati constituencies, be appointed by the Mayor to oversee the implementation of this Plan. WE FURTHER MOVE that the administration begin implementing this Plan and begin securing the participation of potential partners who may assist in the implementation of this plan. WE FURTHER MOVE that the City Manager provide staffing and resources to begin implementations efforts, including continuation of the temporary Climate Protection Coordinator position through the remainder of 2008, and consider the Plan's recommendations in developing the FY 2009-2010 budget. WE FURTHER MOVE that the administration provide regular updates to the Health, Environment and Education Committee of City Council, evaluating the efforts to date and recommending any appropriate improvements or updates to the Climate Protection Action Plan. WE FURTHER MOVE that all Cincinnati area residents, businesses, institutions, and governmental entities are encouraged to take actions, consistent with this plan, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. MOTION, dated 5/29/2008 submitted by Councilmembers Berding, Cole, Monzel, Thomas, Qualls and Cranley, that the Administration make it a top priority to collect waste from all City trash cans more frequently as we enter the summer months. WE FURTHER MOVE that the Administration report to Council the cost of frequent trash can collection in areas with high and frequent foot traffic including Downtown, Over-the-Rhine, Clifton Heights, University Heights, Fairview and Mt. Adams. WE FURTHER MOVE that all city employees are requested to report overflowing cans on sight to be collected as soon as possible after receipt of the call.

ORDINANCE (EMERGENCY), dated 5/2/08, submitted by Councilmember Cecil Thomas, authorizing and directing the City Manager to establish terms and conditions for the presentation of "Second Sundays on Main" by the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Over-the-Rhine Revitalization Corporation on Main Street from Thirteenth Street to Liberty Street on May 11, 2008, June 8, 2008, July 13, 2008, August 10, 2008, and September 14, 2008, beginning at 12:00 noon and ending at 5:00 p.m.; authorizing and directing the City Manager to take such actions as are necessary and proper to implement the presentation of "Second Sundays on Main," notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 713, Sections 1 and 11 of Chapter 723, Chapter 839, Chapter 845, Section 506-91, Chapter 321, and other purchasing-related ordinances and any other provisions of the Cincinnati Municipal Code which would prohibit programs deemed proper by the City Manager in the presentation of "Second Sundays on Main"; approving the use of the above-described area for the sale of beer subject to the issuance of proper licenses by the State of Ohio and procurement of liquor liability insurance; prohibiting the solicitation of monies; prohibiting the sale of wares by peddlers and itinerant vendors except by persons associated with and as authorized by the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce and Over-the-Rhine Revitalization Corporation in the area bounded by the east and west curb lines of Main Street from the north curb line of Thirteenth Street to the south curb line of Liberty Street for the period of time beginning at 11:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on May 11, 2008, June 8, 2008, July 13, 2008, August 10, 2008, and September 14, 2008.

ORDINANCE (EMERGENCY), dated 5/5/2008, submitted by Councilmember Cecil Thomas, modifying the provisions of Cincinnati Municipal Code Chapter 701, "Animals, Birds, Fowls" by amending existing Section 701-6, "Possession of a Dangerous or Vicious Dog Prohibited," Section 701-10, "Pit Bull Identification," and Section 701-14, "Seizure and Impoundment of Dog," in order to reflect updates to enable fact gathering and analysis of vicious dog matters and for consistency and cost-saving purposes.
