MOTION, dated 8/1/2007 submitted by Councilmembers Berding, Crowley and Cranley that consistent with City's Council's actions to not oppose R.P. McMurphy's liquor license renewal in the years of 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 and with the absence of issues that may have existed in 2005, we are directing the City Administration in the form of the City Solicitor to inform the appropriate Ohio State agencies, including the Ohio Department of Liquor Control and the State Liquor Commission that the City of Cincinnati supports R.P. McMurphy's staying in business at its present location in the City of Cincinnati.

MOTION, dated 7/30/2007 submitted by Councilmembers Berding, Monzel and Cranley that the City of Cincinnati officially endorses the efforts of the citizen-led volunteer "bike trail group" to pursue legal agreements and private funding for building a temporary bike trail from Lunken Airport to Downtown on the unused, dormant Oasis rail line over the next two years; WE FURTHER MOVE that in conjunction with their efforts to advance the "Permanent Alignment," the City Administration shall facilitate and cooperate with the efforts of the citizen-led volunteer "bike trail group" in implementing the "Temporary Alignment" plan for the Ohio River Trail as outlined in the memo dated 4/11/07. MOTION, dated 7/30/07, submitted by Councilmembers Cranley, Monzel, Thomas, Crowley, Cole and Ghiz, that the City prepare the necessary ordinances to use the Neighborhood Incentive District Loan Fund to fund the following neighborhood revitalization projects: 1. To complement existing streetscape projects by $750,000.00 each in the following TIF districts: a. Evanston (TIF 11) along Dana Avenue and Montgomery Road; b. Walnut Hills (TIF 6) along McMillan Avenue; c. West Price Hill (TIF 13) for Glenway Avenue; 2. $750,000 - Building acquisition and demolition in Westwood (TIF 18); and 3. $750,000 - Capital improvements around Oakley Square in Oakley (TIF 20); and that these projects be financed in such a way that the District will ultimately pay for the public improvements; that the City establish a procedure to provide all neighborhoods in the twenty TIF districts the opportunity to apply for funding for neighborhood projects; that whenever a project is to be funded with TIF District funds that the administration provide an explanation of the impact of that project on the capacity of the TIF District; that anytime a project is to be funded as a direct loan from the Neighborhood Incentive District Loan Fund that the administration provide City Council with the amount and length of the loan, method for repayment and the project's impact on the capacity of the fund.
