Health Promotion & Worksite Wellness
Health Promotion & Worksite Wellness Program
Health Promotion and Worksite Wellness strives to improve health outcomes for Cincinnati residents. Through the Creating Healthy Communities Program, we hope to create sustainable transformations by improving nutrition, increasing physical activity, promoting tobacco cessation and providing chronic disease prevention and education.
Vision
Cincinnati is a community where residents care about each other and their neighbors, embrace differences and work together to improve health and wellness.
Mission
Health Promotion and Worksite Wellness strives to implement environmental, policy, and systems changes to foster a culture of health and empower our residents to make healthy decisions.
Need
The top 5 causes of death in Cincinnati are heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic lower respiratory disease, and diabetes. Chronic illnesses and obesity can be overcome through implementation of Healthy Eating/Active Living and Tobacco Free principles that increase access to food, provide safe outlets for physical activity, and improve air quality.
