Contact the Building & Inspections Office at 513‑352-3275 for complaints about vacant residential buildings.  
  1. Apartment infested with rats. 
    Contact the Environmental Complaint Line at 513-564-1750. A complaint will be taken and assigned to a sanitarian. A sanitarian will go to the apartment to confirm the report and will contact the landlord to remedy the problem.
  1. Temperature for heat in an apartment during the Winter. 
    When the temperature outside is 55 degrees F or below, the apartment heat requirements are: 70 degrees F between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. and 64 degrees between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Contact the Environmental Complaint Line at 513-564-1750. A sanitarian will go to the apartment to confirm the report and will contact the landlord to remedy the problem.

    Contact the Environmental Complaint Line at 513-564-1750 regarding evictions. A sanitarian will go to the lot to confirm the report and will contact the landlord to remedy the problem.
  1. Dog bites. 
    Contact the Environmental Complaint Line at 513-564-1750. A sanitarian will contact the complainant and coordinate the handling of the situation with a veterinarian, the dog owner, and other parties involved.
  1. Food borne illness. 
    Contact the Environmental Complaint Line at 513-564-1750 to report food borne illness. A sanitarian will be assigned to investigate the problem.

    Contact the Cincinnati Vital Statistics Office at 513-352-3120 for information on how to obtain birth or death records on persons who were born or who died within the city limits of  Cincinnati
