VISION
To provide leadership in public health for the people of Cincinnati.
MISSION
To work for the health and wellness of Cincinnati citizens, employing methods that include surveillance, assessment, disease prevention, health education and assuring access to public health services. The Health Department is committed to providing programs and services, facilitating partnerships, promoting wellness and advocating prudent, ethical and effective health policies.
GOALS
Programs/Services: To deliver exemplary services and preventive programs to meet the health improvement needs of Cincinnatians in a fiscally responsible manner.
Quality: To be the model for public health by consistently providing effective and timely services founded on quality research and measurable data to promote, enhance and protect the health and wellness of the citizens of Cincinnati.
People (Staff Collaboration): To promote and practice excellence in communication and collaboration; empowering staff to enhance value to self, the Department and citizens.
Facilities: To provide well-equipped facilities for staff and clients which are clean, safe, welcoming, easily accessible and are good-staff and client-centered environments.
Technology/Processes: To develop and implement information systems and processes that will be cost-effective, user-friendly and benefit the community.
Fiscal Responsibility: To provide high value services to the community by maximizing efficient utilization of current resources while controlling costs and providing accountability for public dollars.
