The Primary Health Care Division operates five comprehensive health centers, five dental clinics, and one health clinic that specializes in diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Each of the five health centers offers a complete range of services including Adult Medicine, Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as on-site Laboratory and Pharmacy services. 

hese services, with the exception of STD and immunizations, are limited to City of Cincinnati residents.

The Division also administers a county-wide Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) grant that services more than 19,000 individuals annually.

In addition, the Primary Health Care Division oversees the Medicare-certified Home Health Program, the School Health Nursing Program, and the Day Care and Nursing Home Licensure Program.

The Nursing Bureau is responsible for the Quality Assurance of all Nursing Programs in both Primary Health Care and Community Services Division.

The Nursing Programs include the Medicare-certified Home Health Program which included both Adult and Maternal and Child health, the School Health Nursing Unit which serves in the Elementary Public School, the Public Health programs such as Senior Flu, Welcome Home, Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH) and other outreach programs.

The Community Health Services Division is responsible for Environmental Services including Food Service, Solid Waste, Vector Control, Animal Bites, Household Sewage, Swimming Pool Inspection, Environmental Hygiene, Nuisance Abatement, and Litter Control.

The Division also has responsibility for the Health Promotion Program/Worksite Wellness Program, Planning and Evaluation, the Public Employees Assistance Program (PEAP), and the Lead Prevention and Elimination Programs.
