Budget Director Lea Eriksen
Lea Eriksen, Budget Director for the City of Cincinnati, has worked with the City since 1998.
Eriksen started with the City in the Office of Budget & Evaluation. After serving in the budget office and the Internal Audit Division, she joined the newly created Economic Development Division and served as the project lead on several critical City development projects: Vine & Central Parkway Development, 303 Broadway at Queen City Square, Village at Stetson Square Development, and the Fountain Square Redevelopment.
As the City’s Budget Director, Eriksen has been coordinating the development of the City’s $1.3 billion budget. She also leads the Casino Area Infrastructure Development Team, and serves on the City’s Streetcar Project Team and the City’s Financial Review Team which vets City subsidized Economic Development projects.
Eriksen graduated cum laude from Miami University and has an MBA from Xavier University. She has received honors including the Business Courier’s Class of Forty Under 40, YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement Rising Star, and the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Cincinnati Chapter Early Careerist Award. Eriksen serves on the Management Committee of the Urban Land Institute, Cincinnati and serves as its YLG Chair.
