Budget Director Christopher Bigham
Effective Oct. 27, 2014, City Manager Harry Black appointed Mr. Christopher A. Bigham as Budget Director.
As a CPA, Mr. Bigham has an extensive background in budget and finance.
He began his tenure with the City in 1991 in the Recreation Department, where he rose to the level of Recreation Superintendent in 2006. In this capacity, he was in charge of managing all human resources and accounting functions of the department, as well as information technology, golf and waterfront operations.
He served for three years as the City's Finance Manager, where he was responsible for estimating and reporting City revenues, preparing the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, enforcing appropriation limits for City departments, audit functions and served on many committees and working groups dealing with labor issues, revenue enhancement and improved City operations.
In 2011, he returned to the Recreation Department as Recreation Director.
As the Budget Director, Mr. Bigham coordinates the development of the City's $1.4 billion budget, which consists of the operating budget and Capital Improvement Plan. He is also responsible for managing a staff of 10 in the Office of Budget and Evaluation.
Mr. Bigham resides in Mount Washington with his wife and son. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati - College of Business with a major in Accounting.
Mr. Bigham is a CPA licensed in the state of Ohio.
