3. How do I report a broken parking meter?

The City's Parking Enforcement and Meter Repair Section is located in Room 24 at City Hall. The phone number is 352-4526. It is staffed from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. each workday.

4. I received a parking citation but the meter was broken. What should I do?

Send the citation, along with your name, address, and a brief description of the problem to:

  • Parking Enforcement & Meter Repair
    City Hall
    801 Plum St., Room 24
    Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
    (513) 352-4526

We will place a "hold" on the citation to prevent the fine from increasing while we investigate the matter. We will review repair records to determine if the parking meter had been repaired since the time the citation was issued. If necessary, we will remove the meter and bring it to the office for testing. If the meter is defective, we will inform the person of our findings in writing and recommend cancellation to the Court on the person's behalf.

If we cannot find any defect, we will return the citation to the person. The person then has 7 days to pay the fine or request a hearing with the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts.
