The City of Cincinnati has approximately 1,400 new "card & coin" parking meters around Downtown.
For easier payment, the meters accept credit/debit cards. You can still use nickels, dimes, quarters and golden dollars.
They're mounted on the same post as the traditional coin-only meters and still give you the first 10 minutes free.
Hours of Enforcement
Downtown parking meters are enforced Monday thru Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Meters are not enforced on Sundays or holidays.
Rates
The first 10 minutes are FREE. Just push the button. Rates are posted on each meter and vary by location, so please check the meter.
How To Pay By Card:
- Press any button on the keypad to receive your first 10 minutes free.
- Insert card into slot and then remove card.
- Select payment amount using keypad with blue "+" or "-" buttons.
Press green "OK" button to confirm amount or red "CANCEL" button to cancel transaction.
- NOTE: If neither button is pressed after about 5 seconds, the meter will attempt to authorize amount shown on screen
- Wait for card authorization.
- Meter shows amount of paid time approved and meter expiration time, or requests another card.
How To Pay With Coins:
- Press any button on the keypad to receive your first 10 minutes free.
- Insert coins for desired time. Use nickels, dimes, quarters, or a golden dollar.
- Meter shows amount of paid time remaining and the meter expiration time.
