Walk Ahead For A Brain Tumor Cure

On Oct. 26, survivors, caregivers, family members, brain tumor specialists and other caring members of our community will participate in the 5th Annual Walk Ahead for a Brain Tumor Cure 5K Walk/Run, benefitting the Brain Tumor Center at the University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute.
The family-friendly event drew more than 2,300 participants from 19 states in 2013 and raised more than $230,000!
In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 a.m. and remain closed until approximately 10 a.m.:
- Mehring Way - closed between E Pete Rose Way and Joe Nuxhall Way
- Taylor Southgate Bridge - closed
- E Pete Rose Way - eastbound closed between Broadway and Eggleston Avenue
- Riverside Drive - eastbound closed between Eggleston Avenue and Bains Street
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and to reduce their speed and use caution when approaching the closure area.
