FREE AIRPORT OPEN HOUSE
Saturday, September  8th and Sunday, September  9th
10:00AM – 4:00PM  Daily

“Come and see what we do and why we love it!”  Lunken Airport is home to an amazing array of corporate and private aircraft.  Based here are historic Warbirds, technologically advanced personal, pleasure aircraft, homebuilts, experimentals and trainers.  A vast variety of aircraft will be on display on the main ramp behind the terminal, on Saturday and Sunday.

The ramp will be open both days to the public for displays, talking to pilots, air traffic controllers, and Warbird enthusiasts.  We will host representatives from area flying and aircraft maintenance schools, community colleges, military recruiters and universities.  There will be displays of interest for students who want to pursue an aviation career and aviation books.  Visit mechanics on the field - they are the ones that maintain these magnificent flying machines!  Scavenger Hunt for kids.  Take a helicopter or airplane ride for $45 per person.

Veterans Breakfast Saturday 9:00 – 11:00AM:  only $5.00.
Dixieland Band at 1:00 each day.
Color Guard ceremony both days at noon with “Fly Overs”.

The EAA will have their touring Flying Fortress – B-17 “Aluminum Overcast” on the ramp from September 6-10, giving rides and tours. “Aluminum Overcast” is an example of the American heavy bomber that helped turn the tide of World War ll.  You can see and tour this historic aircraft – and actually fly a mission.  See the Camo field operations area (you can eat inside!)
For further B-17 ride information please call 800-359-6217.  Sponsored by Cincinnati Warbirds EAA Chapter 18 based at Lunken Airport.

Enjoy a day at the airport, see all of the airplanes, talk to the pilots and enjoy a FREE Hot dog and a drink.  FREE parking available.
