Central Parkway At Hopple Street/MLK
As part of ODOT’s ongoing improvement project in areas around the I-75 Millcreek Corridor, Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive (MLK) will be closed between Central Parkway and the new connector road located approximately 1000 feet east of the Central Parkway intersection.
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, crews will be closing this portion of MLK and installing the appropriate signs, pavement markings, and traffic signals needed to direct traffic around the closure site.
The following are points to remember while travelling through the area:
Eastbound Hopple Street can access eastbound MLK by following the marked detour south(right) on Central Parkway to an immediate left at the new traffic signal located at Central Parkway and the new connector road.
Westbound MLK can access westbound Hopple Street by following the marked detour using the new connector road to north (right) on Central Parkway to an immediate left onto Hopple Street.
Southbound Interstate 75 cannot be accessed from westbound Hopple Street. Marked detours will be in place directing motorists to eastbound Hopple Street and access to southbound I-75.
Due to anticipated congestion in the area, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
