SWIMMING
Adapted Aquatics

The Adapted Aquatics Programs are held in our year round warm water swimming pool located at the Mt. Auburn Community Center. This facility has been renovated for improved accessibility, with accessible showers, toilet stalls, parking, and assisted dressing room. Water temperature is maintained at 89 degrees. Several water entries and exits are available, including a pool chair lift and “easy ladder” with hand railings.  The programs are designed to include all ability levels, incorporating the T.R. sequential swim progression and the “Dolan Method” for individuals with autism.

Lessons are offered for all swim levels each day (Tuesday or Saturday). Please indicate your preferred time on the Program Registration Form (next to program name).

Please Note: Children under age 5 are encouraged to register for the Parent/Child Aquatics Program prior to participating in the Adapted Aquatics Program.  The Pre Swim Team Program is available for participants interested in improving their swim strokes and endurance.  Participants must be capable of swimming 25 yards (length of pool) on front and back, able to work in small groups (2 to 4 swimmers). This program is offered at Krueck Pool Tuesday evenings 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

If you have questions about the appropriate swim level or time please call Kyra at 352 – 4962.
