View the entire photo gallery Heart Cincinnati Pools is an initiative in support of the CRC Pools Endowment Fund, which was started to keep Queen City residents swimming for years to come. Jake Gerth, an account executive at Over the Rhine marketing firm Ionic Collective found that CRC was the perfect match with the vibe that’s happening in the revitalized neighborhood. A recent event at the Recreation Commission’s Ziegler pool, the “Ziegler Recovery Pool Party”, saw an unusual sight; rather than the usual neighborhood children, young professionals from the area were enjoying a leisurely Sunday Afternoon.
In conjunction with Ionic’s Hoist brand, Gerth will be leading a “street team” who will be placing posters in support of CRC aquatics at many area business in exchange for a donation to the CRC Foundation’s Pool Endowment fund. Additionally, bumper sticker sized magnets featuring the “Heart Cincinnati Pools” logo will be available. The street team will be promoting CRC aquatics and raising funds throughout the rest of the summer at other OTR neighborhood events such as Final Fridays and Bockfest.
Coming in August, Heart Cincinnati Pools will be sponsoring a Field Day at CRC’s Queensgate Ballfield. This event will feature backyard water fun such as water balloon toss, slip & slide and squirt gun contests. With the annual budget challenges that the Recreation Commission faces, this new initiative is very welcome help. |
