Kevin Flynn is beginning his service on Cincinnati City Council with the 2013–2017 term. He is Chair of the Rules & Audit Committee, Vice-Chair of the Law & Public Safety Committee, and is a member of a number of other Council committees.
Kevin was elected to Council as a Charterite, Cincinnati’s own third party, with a tradition going back to Murray Seasongood in the 1920s. Kevin honors the Charter principles of openness and transparency as the best way to accomplish effective and efficient local government.
He is a true Cincinnatian and lives in Mt. Airy, where he grew up. Kevin is married to his terrific wife, Peggy Flynn, and they are the parents of three wonderful children: Kevin, Shannon, and Colleen.
Kevin is a graduate of LaSalle High School; the University of Cincinnati (BA, cum laude, Philosophy); and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (JD, Order of the Coif). He is formerly a partner, and is now of-counsel, with the law firm of Griffin Fletcher & Herndon LLP and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law for the past 21 years.
He has been active in many volunteer activities including Past Chair of the Board and President of The Drake Center and Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of the Charter Committee of Greater Cincinnati. Kevin has served on or chaired numerous additional task forces and charitable boards.
