The City has been awarded a $282,228 Clean Ohio Assistance grant for additional Phase 2 environmental assessment work in the West End near Central Avenue and Findlay Street. The planned scope of work will result in the better delineation of existing groundwater contamination and determination of the remediation cost. Once the project is completed, it is hopeful that the City would apply for a Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund grant to cover the cost of remediation. Remediation in this area would allow for the possible expansion of an area business.
