Recycling guidelines:

Please rinse all bottles and jars and remove the lids. These is no need to remove labels, since they disintegrate in the recycling process.

Flatten all cans and plastic bottles to conserve space. Please break down cardboard to 3'x3' sections and flatten all boxes

Place all recyclables together in your bin. Thanks to Rumpke's single stream processing method, all recyclables are mechanically and manually sorted at the processing facility.

Set your recycling bin out the night before your regular trash collection day.

Extra materials can be placed in a brown grocery bag or similar size plastic container. Please label it for recycling and set it on top of or next to your Rumpke bin. No trash cans should be used for recycling.

We strive to accept as many items as possible. We cannot collect certain items because of contamination issues or lace of market availability.

For electronics or household hazardous material recycling, please contact the Hamilton County Department of Environmental Services at (513) 946-7734.
