Rockdale Shelter
This little stone structure has a central block with flanking recessed wings and a garage addition on the rear. The hipped roof is covered with wood shingles and is punctuated by a small dormer on the front. Built in 1935, it was part of the Federal public works program during the Depression. A good example of Tudor Revival, the building was designed by Charles F. Cellarius. (For more about the architect, see appendix.)
