The Cincinnati Park Board's Nature Education Division has a mission to educate people of all ages about the ecological relationships, and the natural and historical resources in the Cincinnati Parks and Preserves and to assist in their protection and management.

We are excited to announce the reopening of Trailside Nature Center following a two-year renovation!  Our 68-year-old building has been revitalized with new windows, doors, floors, and ceilings, and beautiful artwork inside.  Our exhibits focus on different themes:  birds and migration, habitats of Burnet Woods, and astronomy.  The public can visit the nature center Wednesday through Sunday;  click here for times.

Wolff Planetarium, the only public planetarium in Cincinnati, is located in the Trailside Nature Center building.  It has undergone improvements, too, including a newly restored planetarium projector and a new large-screen television with a computer link to NASA!  The staff of Wolff Planetarium is currently planning public programs to begin in the fall.  There are no public programs at the planetarium this summer, but groups of 10-20 can schedule private programs.   Click here for more information.

For information about Nature Connections, an inner-city outreach nature education program, go to Nature Connections.

Groups (garden clubs, schools, preschools, senior organizations, and scouts) may schedule a special program by calling 321-6070. Any group of 10 or more people is encouraged to get closer to nature through our weekday programs. Reservations are made on a first-call basis. Fees and information available; call 321-6070.

The  2007-2008 School Brochure, in the pages of this guide, you'll find Park Naturalist-led programs for students of all ages and levels of ability.  Use the guide to locate those programs that best complement your classroom lessons and to help you schedule a program or field trip for your class.

The   Spring 2008 Brochure  and the  2008 Summer Camp Brochure contains listings of public nature programs found throughout the Cincinnati Park system.  Click here for the  2008 Summer Camp Registration Form.  Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request, call 352-4080.
