Pete Rose Way Overnight Closures
Pete Rose Way Closing Wednesday & Thursday Nights For Bridge Demolition
Construction crews will remove concrete decking on the Pete Rose Way Pedestrian Bridge. This will require a portion of Pete Rose Way to be closed to traffic for two 12-hour periods. Due to the nature of the work -- concrete demolition -- the City has granted the contractor a waiver of the noise ordinance for this work so that it can be done expediently in a night-time closure. Access to the Ball Park entrance to the parking garage on Johnny Bench Way (Old Broadway) will be maintained from Second Street and from Mehring Way.
Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Johnny Bench Way.
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 17; and again on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. One lane of traffic in each direction will be open on the affected section of Pete Rose Way on Thurs., Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 after 6 a.m.
To maintain utmost safety on and around the work site and minimize traffic disruptions, removal of the concrete decking will be done at night so the entire area can be closed. Two nighttime closures will prevent multiple daytime closures that would produce more noise and extended disruption of the traffic routine.
